Updates

Spring field trials have gone well for us so far.  We came home with lots of ribbons.  Lydia is chasing her first and has come close several times.  The puppies from last summer are growing and turning out better than I expected----I kept, Coriander, Juniper, and Spider Pig.  Next planned breedings will be in a couple of monthes so expect fall puppies.

Lydia -- intently watching for bunnies, waiting her turn to catch those rascally rabbits.

A another proud doxie owner!
Hi Pam - This is just a short note to update you on your pup, Doxikota "Gus".  He is now 13 months old and is growing, thriving and just full of life.  We can tell that he was bred for performance as he LOVES  to dig and go to ground after any critter he thinks he sees or smells.  Thank goodness we have a fairly large property.  We spend lots of time hiking in the woods where he finds all sorts of interesting smells.  He is as bright as they come and has done well in obedience.  I think that he would really like agility and am planning on starting that soon.

Here is a picture I thought you might enjoy of my big, goofy English Setter Banjo with Gus enjoying the early spring sunlight.  Those two are inseparable and Gus is convinced that he can keep up with the long-legged setter out in the field if he just tries harder.  Ah, you know doxies . . . there isn't anything they think they can't do.

I just wanted you to know that you little boy is healthy, hearty and thriving here in New Hampshire and we love him to pieces.

Sincerely,
Susan and Paul Handwerker
Amherst, NH
